Printed Word Reviews Announces Sponsorship at WriterCon 2026 - VP Jack Olczak to Present Expert Session on Book Marketing

September 2, 2026 at 10:46:21 AM

While Labor Day typically offers a quick getaway before summer ends, Printed Word University (part of Printed Word Reviews) is spending the holiday sharing book marketing insights at the 19th annual WriterCon, held September 4–7, 2026, at Oklahoma City’s historic Skirvin Hilton Hotel.

In addition to hosting a dedicated table this Labor Day weekend, Printed Word University’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Jack Olczak, will deliver an exclusive presentation titled "How to Market Your Book."

“Writing the book was the hard part, and most good books remain invisible for reasons unrelated to the writing itself,” said Olczak. This 45-minute session walks writers through the four-rung system Olczak's team uses with their own authors. It's built for authors at any stage—traditionally published, independent, or self-published—and designed to leave attendees with a concrete sequence they can start this week, not just a list of things to think about.

"Connecting directly with authors and publishers to readers is at the heart of what we do at Printed Word Reviews," said Olczak. "WriterCon has cultivated an incredible community of passionate creators. I’m thrilled to share practical, real-world tools that demystify book marketing and give authors the momentum they need to reach their audience."

Navigating the modern publishing landscape requires authors to be as strategic with their promotion as they are with their prose. In this planned Saturday 10am morning session, Olczak will break down actionable, budget-conscious marketing strategies for both indie and traditionally published authors, and give writers a blueprint to consult when launching their book. Key topics will include building an authentic author brand, leveraging targeted review coverage, running cost-effective promotional campaigns, and converting casual readers into lifelong fans.

Attending writers, authors, editors, and industry professionals are invited to visit the Printed Word Reviews table in the main exhibition hall throughout the weekend. A representative will be on hand to answer questions, discuss editorial review packages, and offer guidance on maximizing book visibility in a crowded marketplace.
