Printed Word Reviews Announces Featured Poetry Titles for the 15th Annual New York City Poetry Festival

Printed Word Reviews (PWR) has officially announced its participation in the 15th Annual New York City Poetry Festival, taking place on the historic grounds of Governors Island from Saturday, July 18, through Sunday, July 19.

Hosted annually by The Poetry Society of New York (PSNY), the festival transforms the island into a vibrant haven for writers, artists, and literary enthusiasts.

This year, Printed Word Reviews will be showcasing a carefully curated selection of award-winning poetry collections, cross-genre anthologies, and groundbreaking audiobooks. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to browse featured titles, and discover a diverse array of fresh poetic voices.

"The New York City Poetry Festival is a monument to the power of the written word and the strength of the independent literary community," said a spokesperson from Printed Word Reviews. "We are incredibly proud to bring a dynamic roster of authors to Governors Island this year. From deeply personal memoirs to explorations of leadership and nature, these titles represent the immense breadth of modern poetry."

Visitors to the Printed Word Reviews showcase can expect a wide-ranging preview of contemporary poetry, including:

• Ellen Hernandez: Exploring the complex architecture of human identity and connection, Hernandez will be highlighting her She/Her

• Terence Ang: Presenting an innovative approach to the genre, Ang will showcase a deeply resonant new audiobook, a world-first, Brokenness Becomes Beautiful and Thunderstroke: A Poetry Memoir Inspired by a True Story, an immersive audiobook and print collection that navigates memory, survival, and the self.

• Lee Woodman: Celebrated for her vivid explorations of the natural and creative worlds, Woodman will feature her acclaimed thematic trilogy: COLORSCAPES, SOULSCAPES, and ARTSCAPES.

• Sandra Leon-Gonzalez: Bringing profound emotional depth to the showcase, Leon-Gonzalez will feature her evocative poetry collections, As We Soar; Finding My Wings; and Now I See.

• John Baldoni: Demonstrating the unique intersection of poetry and professional wisdom, Baldoni's featured works include Leadership in Verse, Grace Notes: Leading in an Upside-Down World, and his creative sports-centric collection, Golf Lessons: Chips, Chunks and Cheers.

• E M Schorb: The veteran voice will feature American Mobile, a collection reflecting distinct rhythmic and cultural landscapes.

• Nicole Nesca & Tony Nesca: Bringing a raw, multi-disciplinary edge to the lineup, Nicole Nesca will present her cross-genre poetry collection Let it Bleed, alongside Tony Nesca’s compelling integration of visual / textual art in Poems and Photographs.

• Sara Fanfarillo: Offering a bridge between worlds, Fanfarillo will showcase Everlasting, an enchanting fantasy.

  
  

The 15th Annual New York City Poetry Festival is free and open to the public, offering a weekend of readings, workshops, and literary exhibitions across the tree-lined lawns of Nolan Park on Governors Island.
