Libby Expands Global Reach with Direct Integration into PocketBook E-readers

OverDrive has announced a significant expansion of the global reach of its leading library reading app, Libby, through a new partnership with PocketBook, a major innovator in the e-reading space. The collaboration is set to make accessing and enjoying ebooks and audiobooks borrowed from local libraries simpler and more direct for PocketBook users.

The new PocketBook x Libby app is designed to seamlessly integrate library access into the e-reader experience. Users can now log in using their library card directly on their PocketBook device to browse, borrow, and read or listen to titles from their library's collection.

Key Features of the Integration

• Seamless Borrowing: Readers can borrow titles directly through the dedicated PocketBook x Libby app.

• Offline Reading: Ebooks can be downloaded onto the device for reading without an internet connection during the borrowing period.

• Streaming & Access: Audiobooks and other formats are streamed or accessed via the device’s browser.

• Sampling: Titles can be sampled before a user commits to borrowing.

• Account Management: The app allows users to add and manage holds, as well as link multiple library cards, providing access to all their respective libraries' Libby collections.
