Epson Launches SureColor F370 Printer and Cotton Primer to Expand On-Demand Customization Options

For under $1000, Epson has unveiled its new SureColor F370 dye-sublimation printer alongside a specialized Sublimation Primer for Cotton, aimed at expanding product customization capabilities for small businesses, creators, and educational institutions.
Announced at the PRINTING United Expo, the hardware and chemical solution combination addresses a long-standing limitation of traditional dye-sublimation printing by enabling transfers onto light-colored natural fibers, such as cotton, alongside standard polyester materials.
Specifically designed for small workspaces, this SureColor F370 is designed as an entry-level, purpose-built printer for on-demand production. With a print area accommodating media up to 13” x 19”, the unit handles media via an auto-switching 150-sheet 8.5-inch cassette and a 15-sheet 13” x 19” rear tray.
The system features built-in transfer paper modes tailored specifically for either soft fabrics or hard goods like promotional items, photo panels, and home decor.
Dye-sublimation has historically required high-polyester-content synthetic fabrics or specially coated hard goods to fix the dyes. Epson’s new liquid Sublimation Primer for Cotton allows creators to apply sublimation inks to white and light-colored cotton garments without adopting direct-to-garment (DTG) or direct-to-film (DTF) hardware platforms.
“With the SureColor F370, we’ve made professional dye-sublimation more accessible than ever, while our new Sublimation Primer for Cotton opens exciting opportunities beyond traditional polyester applications,” said Tim Check, Product Manager of Professional Imaging at Epson America.
Both products will ship in November through authorized Epson partners and the official eStore.
