C. Strassel's Heartwarming Childrens Story Courageous Clooney Is Set to Be Featured in Times Square This Weekend

Featured in NYC Times Square this weekend, "Courageous Clooney" by C. Strassel is a heartwarming children's story that follows a shy dog who bravely overcomes heartworms with the help of his loving owner and a compassionate veterinarian.

Part of a Printed Word Reviews curation, "Courageous Clooney" will be prominently featured on a massive billboard in the heart of New York City’s Times Square, along with the preannouncement date of next month’s NYC Big Book Award. This elevated recognition is part of the NYC billboard program created by publisher Ted Olczak of the Printed Word Reviews (PWR) magazine, providing unparalleled visibility for a select group of key titles.

"Courageous Clooney" was a NYC Big Book Award Distinguished Favorite in this past year's award program, and has gotten a considerable amount of attention. Popular amongst its peers, "Courageous Clooney" earned five stars on the GoodReads website, and was awarded the NYC Big Book Award later in the year. It was even picked up by ABC's local WMDT Channel 47, who did a television spot "Delaware Author Recognized for Story on Her Dog" on the book and its author C. Strassel.

The story is about the real Clooney, a 2021 Hurricane Ida rescue dog adopted by the BiblioKid author. The books was written to raise awareness about heartworm disease in dogs and a way to pay it forward. Lucia Benito's illustrations beautifully capture Clooney's personality and enhance the unfolding story. The use of alliteration, onomatopoeia and descriptive language throughout make it a fun read aloud for kids and parents alike, and is excellent for the classroom use.

When a copy is purchased, half of all profits are being donated to help HW+ dogs.

Christina wants to share the message about this preventable disease with dog parents everywhere in the hopes of helping another dog out there. Clooney is now healthy and happy at home with Christina living in Delaware.
